Why this page exists
Travel information goes out of date faster than almost any other category. Airlines suspend routes with little notice, baggage rules are revised, airports lose scheduled service entirely. A site this size will contain errors. What matters is what happens when one is found.
What we do when we find an error
- We fix it everywhere it appears. A wrong baggage figure is rarely on one page. When we correct something, we search the whole site for the same claim and correct every instance in the same release.
- We check the opposite direction. If a route page is wrong, its reverse is often wrong too. Both get checked.
- We verify against the source. Corrections are made against the airline or operator's own published policy, not against another comparison site.
- We update the date. The last-updated stamp on the page changes so you can see it has been touched.
What we do not do
We do not silently delete pages that turn out to be wrong and pretend they never existed. Where a page described something that is no longer true — a route that has been suspended, an airport that has lost service — the page stays up and states plainly what changed and what to do instead. That is more useful to you than a dead link.
Recent corrections
| Date | What was wrong | What we did |
|---|---|---|
| Aug 2026 | Airlink cabin baggage listed as 7 kg | Corrected to 8 kg across all affected pages, per Airlink's published hand baggage allowance. |
| Aug 2026 | Some route pages described city pairs inconsistently, showing a direct service in one direction and a connection in the other | Every domestic city pair audited against carrier schedule data and made consistent in both directions. |
| Aug 2026 | A small number of route pages carried a description copied from an unrelated route | All affected pages rewritten with accurate route-specific information. |
| Aug 2026 | Customer testimonials on the homepage were not independently verifiable | Removed entirely and replaced with a statement of how our information is checked. |
| Aug 2026 | Connecting routes gave no guidance on what could actually be booked | Every connecting route page now names the hub and links to the bookable legs. |
Found something wrong?
Tell us. If you have flown a route recently and the information here does not match what you experienced, that is more valuable than anything we can read on a policy page. Email hello@vistavoyage.co.za with the page and what was wrong.
We aim to respond within two business days. Genuine corrections are made as quickly as we can verify them, and this page is updated to record them.
Our wider standards are set out in the editorial policy.
